The company was established by healthcare providers with the aim of serving their peers. The initial GLiFT system was conceived and utilized by a founding physician to alleviate pain from an accident, and he continued to use it to enhance longevity in his practice. The concept originated in 2017.
Our team possesses over 100 years of combined experience in healthcare services, led by three founders and supported by 10 full-time employees and consultants with extensive expertise in engineering, quality, operations, finance, and medical technology commercialization.
Founder and CEO
Todd O. Flohr is the Chief Executive Officer of Salus Scientific Corp., where he drives the company's strategic vision and operations. Co-founding the company in November 2016, Todd has been pivotal in its growth, leading the development and commercialization of innovative med-tech solutions designed to enhance healthcare provider safety. Under his leadership, Salus Scientific has taken an idea from a napkin, secured multiple patents, successfully completed a multi-million-dollar capital raise, and is now executing on international expansion.
Todd's extensive experience spans sales, business development, and leadership within the medical and healthcare sectors. Prior to Salus Scientific, he served as District Sales Manager for HeartFlow in the Southeast US, where he significantly advanced cardiology diagnostic technology, achieving 108% business growth. As Regional Sales Director at Vital Connect, he developed and executed a commercial strategy that helped grow the company into a $50M enterprise.
At Abbott Vascular (Formerly St. Jude Medical), Todd’s roles as Therapy Manager and Territory Sales Manager highlighted his expertise in cardiovascular technologies and sales strategy, earning accolades such as the Top US Sales Territory and President’s Club recognition. Todd earned a Bachelor of Arts in Corporate Communications with a Minor in Business Administration from the College of Charleston. His educational background supports a robust career that includes prior roles at Access Closure, Inc., Cardiac Science Corp., SouthTech Spine, and Physician Sales and Service.
Founder
Dr. Moore graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and graduated with honors from the UNC School of Medicine. He completed his residency and internship at the Hospital of The University of Pennsylvania. Afterwards, Dr. Moore returned to North Carolina, completing a fellowship in hand, upper extremity and microvascular surgery at Duke University.
Dr. Moore has remained active in educational endeavors and lectures nationally and internationally. He practices in Wilmington, NC where he specializes in complex upper extremity problems.
Founder
After completing his Cardiology training at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in 1992, Dr. Buchanan moved to Wilmington, NC and founded Coastal Cardiology Associates, PA. The practice grew to include 15 Cardiologists serving SE North Carolina. It was acquired by New Hanover Regional Medical Center in 2008. Dr. Buchanan recently founded Coastal Cardiovascular Associates, PA in Wilmington, NC and continues to practice cardiology and perform coronary interventions.
He holds multiple patents and has a passion for solving problems that cause risk for patients and healthcare providers.
President & CFO
Keith serves as the President/CFO at Salus Scientific, bringing 25 years of experience in Finance and Investment Management. Keith has been part of the Salus family since 2020, after launching his PE Fund Harbor Hill Investments, leveraging his experience to help launch the company's core G-Lift product.
Before Salus, Keith helped lead US Fundamental trading for Surveyor Capital, an arm of the Asset Management giant Citadel, managing over $60 Billion in Assets. Prior, he served as Director of US Cash Trading at Citigroup and was named the youngest partner at Level Global Investors, LP, a $5B hedge fund focused on US equities and alternative capital structure strategies.
Keith earned dual degrees in Economics and Political Science from Lafayette College and is working towards a master's degree in finance from William and Mary. He is a CFA Level III Candidate, holds an FMVA designation, and was previously a Series 7, 55, 63, and 24 licensed professional.
Chief Legal Council
With an educational background in pharmacy, prior to joining Salus Scientific, Mr. Wallace practiced in the areas of pharmacy, drug, and medical device law. Following law school, he practiced at Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP, one of the region’s largest law firms, where he defended national and international corporations in national pharmaceutical litigation and conducted pre-launch assessments covering false claims, Good Promotional Practices, and litigation risks. His experience has also included issues related to the Food and Drug Administration—including GPP and GMP, Board licensing and permitting, controlled substances, federal and state compliance related to the purchase and sale of pharmaceuticals, Medicaid audits, 340B, and similar matters.
In addition to his role at Salus Scientific, Mr. Wallace is an Adjunct Clinical Professor, Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Outcome Sciences at the Medical University College of Pharmacy and has served in the same role at the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy.
Vice President, Business Development
Abbie serves as the Vice President of Business Development at Salus Scientific, leveraging over 15 years of experience in healthcare administration, operations, and business development. She plays a pivotal role in overseeing the company’s daily operations, managing resources, and implementing strategies that drive productivity and profitability.
Before joining Salus Scientific, Abbie held key roles at MedQuest and Associates, where she led operational departments, developed, and executed joint ventures with major health systems, and managed co-branding initiatives. Her ability to identify growth opportunities and foster strategic partnerships has been instrumental in advancing organizational goals.
Abbie earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a Minor in Design Management from The New School Parsons School of Art and Design. With a passion for process, consumer experience, and visual communication, she combines creative thinking with operational expertise to deliver impactful results.
Outside of work, Abbie enjoys surfing, fitness, and wellness adventures with her husband and their Boykin Spaniel.
Vice President of Engineering and Production
Nicholas Tomczak is the Vice President of Engineering and Production at Salus Scientific, where he leads the engineering and manufacturing teams to drive innovation and operational excellence in scientific research and product development. With extensive experience in [specific industry or field], Nicholas excels in optimizing production processes, integrating advanced technologies, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
Before joining Salus Scientific, Nicholas held influential roles at Edgeworks Manufacturing, Warsport Industries, and Advanced Armament Corporation. At these companies, he achieved notable milestones, including designing state-of-the-art military equipment, vertically integrating every part of the manufacturing process, and creating novel manufacturing processes that significantly enhanced operational capabilities and product performance.
Nicholas holds dual Bachelor’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace Engineering from Florida International University, providing him with a robust foundation in both disciplines. His educational background, combined with hands-on experience, equips him with a comprehensive skill set in engineering and production.
Outside of his professional life, Nicholas is dedicated to his family. He is married to Amylin, and they have two children: Evalin and Bradley. Nicholas enjoys building race cars and gardening, finding these activities both rewarding and fulfilling.
Regional Sales Manager
David Lindfors is a seasoned professional with 36 years of experience in medical sales, including pharmaceuticals, cardiac rhythm management, electrophysiology, and heart failure. His extensive career has equipped him with expertise in sales, marketing, and sales leadership, making him a respected leader in the healthcare industry.
David earned his Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Management from Tennessee Technological University. Additionally, he completed a one-year LEAD program at the prestigious McCombs School of Business while working at St. Jude. This mini program, designed for leadership development, further strengthened his business and strategic management skills.
Beyond his professional achievements, David is a dedicated family man, happily married and the proud father of two sons. His wealth of experience, combined with his commitment to lifelong learning and leadership, continues to drive his success and contributions to the industry.
